Who can sign in
Only the Google accounts listed here can open the members area. What each person can see and do comes from their category, which you set under Permissions. Changes take effect straight away.

Teams
Students and parents can be put on one of our teams, and each match analysis can be shared with all our teams or only some. Guest teams are other teams we make analyses for. Their people (the Guest category) only ever see the analyses you share with their team. Earlier names are for seasons when a team was called something else, written as “DECODE 2025-26: Celtic Rockets”. A name carries on into later seasons until it changes, and each analysis shows the name from its own season.

What each category can do

To see the members area as a student, parent, mentor or guest would, use View as at the top of the page.
Add a match analysis
Choose its page file (the .html) and the files it uses, such as the match video. Keep the file names exactly as they were made, because the page looks for its video by name.

Home-page gallery
These photos appear in the gallery on the public home page, in this order. Drag a photo to move it. Hidden photos stay here but aren't shown on the site. Large photos are resized before uploading.
100 for $100+ campaign
The tracker on the public home page. Each square is one supporter; named supporters show their name when someone points at their square, and a website makes the square a link. Changes show on the home page straight away.

Supporter logos
Drag logo files onto either box to add them. Drag logos to put them in order, or from one box to the other to move a supporter between current and past. The eye hides a logo without deleting it. PNG or SVG logos with see-through backgrounds look best on the dark page.

Edit the website
Open a page in editing mode, click any outlined text and type, or click a photo (team photos, logos) to replace it. Save at the bottom of the page and visitors see the change within a few minutes. Gold outlines show text that has been changed before; "Original text" puts back what was there.
Team photos
Each team's photo appears on the home page and on its team page. Choose one from our photo library or upload one, then adjust the crop: you'll see how it looks in both places.

Coming up (public home page)
The home page shows the next three events. BC qualifiers, scrimmages and the championship fill in by themselves from FTCScout, with which of our teams are registered. Untick any you'd rather not show, or add your own (open houses, demos, outreach). This is separate from the Events tab, which is for the members home page.

Backups
The website backs itself up every night at about 3:15 a.m., and keeps the last 14 days. Each backup holds every record in the database (people and permissions, match analyses, scouting, website text and seasons, fundraising, notices and so on) and a list of every stored file. Download one to keep a copy of your own.

Also protected
- Database: Firebase also keeps its own full daily backups for 14 days, which can be restored in one step if something goes badly wrong. Ask Claude to restore one.
- Photos, videos and analysis files: anything deleted or replaced can be recovered for 14 days.
- The website itself: every published version is kept by Firebase Hosting and can be rolled back, and the source is in Drive (Claude for FTC › Website › Firebase site).
Notices
Notices appear at the top of the members home page, newest first. Pinned ones stay at the top. Web links in the message become clickable.
Events
Events show under "Coming up" on the members home page until they've passed. Events in the next 7 days are highlighted.
Resources
Links shown on the members home page, grouped by category: manuals, Drive folders, CAD, forms and so on. Lower numbers in "Order" come first within a category.
Usage
Sign-ins, analyses opened and time spent watching them. Viewing time only counts while the analysis is on screen. Records start from Sat, Oct 31, 2026.

Firebase usage
Google's own figures for the whole project: website traffic, database activity, private file downloads and storage. They cover up to the last six weeks and run a few hours behind. Loading them asks you to confirm your Google account once, to allow read-only access to these figures. For costs, see Usage and billing in the Firebase console.
